Introduced in the late 1960s, the Boeing 737 is one aircraft that most would be hard pressed to forget.

Introduced in the late 1960s, the Boeing 737 is one aircraft that most would be hard pressed to forget. Developed as a narrow-body, twin engine jet as the successor to the 707 type, it took on quieter, more powerful, and efficient attributes that allowed it to surpass its competition. Even decades into the 21st century, it remains the best-selling airliner, serving thousands of airlines and hundreds of countries since its introduction.

Up to 175 passengers can be seated in the 737-800 variants, with a standard crew of two in the cockpit just like the early models. Unlike the larger 727 airliner, there was no need for an additional member to fill the flight engineer role. Powering the aircraft are a pair of CFM56-7B engines which create around 54,000 lbs of combined thrust on takeoff, permitting an altitude ceiling of 41,000 ft, cruising speed of 517 mph and maximum weight of 174,200 lbs.

Manufactured as a Boeing 737-800W for Southwest Airlines, this variant began its deliveries in 2012, reaching a total of 207 received by the end of 2018. Painted with a livery that was first designed for 737-700 as a commemorative aircraft, this colorful scheme has been reproduced and placed onto a newer 737-800 model as a continuing “thank you” to the state. Die-Cast version has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and detailed landing gear for display. Measures 4”l with a 3.75”wingspan at 1:400 scale.

  • Features a high-quality paint scheme, etched panel lines and pad printed decals that reflect a 737-800W in Southwest Airlines service.
  • Antennas, reflective lights, and surface details have been carefully added to the model.
  • Includes detailed, pre-installed landing gear that reflect the true 737-800W.
  • Measures 4”l with a 3.75” wingspan at 1:400 Scale.
  • Highly collectible and officially licensed by Boeing.
