First flying in 1987, the Airbus A320 line was intended to combat Boeing and Douglas’s competitive offers of the late 20th century.

First flying in 1987, the Airbus A320 line was intended to combat Boeing and Douglas’s competitive offers of the late 20th century. Featuring a longer fuselage and drag reducing aerodynamics, the narrow body type is designed to lower costs compared to alternatives in the field. Since its introduction, the A320 has seen major success and currently over 11,000 have been manufactured.

As the middle ground between the A319 and A321, the A320ceo has a capacity of 140-180 passengers in mixed class seating. Range is around 3,350 miles, with powerplants being a pair of CFM-56 or International V2500 turbofans. Max thrust is up to 54,000 lbs. combined on takeoff, with a service ceiling of 39,100 ft, a top speed of 518 mph, and a maximum weight of 172,000 lbs.

Decorated with the striking black livery of Air Canada Jetz, this A320 is used as a charter craft, which included its usage as the primary transport for all of the 7 NHL teams in the nation. Earlier in their operation, the airline carried the band U2 on their “Vertigo” and “360” tours of 2006 and 2009 respectively. This Die-Cast version has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, detailed landing gear, and display stand to show the model in flight. Measures 7.5”l with a 6.75 wingspan at 1:200 scale.

  • Features etched panel lines, printed decals, and livery of Air Canada.
  • Small antennas and surface detailing has been carefully replicated to reflect the true airliner’s design.
  • Features pre-installed, detailed landing gear and display stand to show the model in flight.
