Known as one of the most effective aircraft in Royal Air Force service, the Spitfire was a highly maneuverable fighter that served in WWII.

Known as one of the most effective aircraft in Royal Air Force service, the Spitfire was a highly maneuverable fighter that served in WWII. Taking on the Luftwaffe FW-190 and BF-109 fighters of the skies of Germany and credited with over 5,000 enemy aircraft destroyed, it proved capable in the hands of the RAF. Across all variants, there were more than 20,000 manufactured, making it more prolific than several contemporaries.

Featuring the unique elliptical wing design and the well-known Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine, the Spitfire had enough power and maneuverability to take on most opponents. With 30% lower wing loading than the P-51D mustang and BF-109 fighters, its agility was largely unmatched. Couple this with the powerful set of Hispano 20mm cannons and 7.7mm Browning Mk.II machine guns, the deadly combination was set for success. Top speed was over 370 mph, range was nearly 500 miles, and its service ceiling was as high as 36,500 ft.

As one of many Czechoslovak pilots under the Royal Air Force, this aircraft from the No. 312 Squadron contributed to the 17,472 sorties undertaken by this attachment during WWII. Piloted by war ace Frantisek Perina, this aircraft claimed 2 probable enemies shot down and 1 confirmed by June of 1942, adding the total of 13 on his combat record. Die-Cast version features engraved panel lines, pad printed decals, authentic livery and realistic spinning propellor. Also includes optional landing gear, opening canopy, and display stand to show the aircraft in flight. Measures 7.25” in length with a 9.25" wingspan at 1:48 scale.

  • Features a high-quality paint scheme, etched panel lines and pad printed decals that reflect its real-life counterpart.
  • Antennas, reflective lights, and surface details have been carefully added to the model.
  • Includes deployed or retracted landing gear, opening canopy, and display stand to show the aircraft in flight.
  • Measures 7.25”l with a 9.25" wingspan at 1:48 Scale.
  • Highly collectible and officially licensed.
