This B-26 Bomber PlaneTag™ from Serial #40-1370 was assigned to the 11th Air Force, 73rd Bombardment Squadron in Anchorage, Alaska during World War II. It crashed in King Salmon, Alaska on August 16th, 1942. The aircraft was recovered by the Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah in 2000 and is now under restoration with Aircraft Restoration Services LLC, Murrieta, California. The B-26 skins show a lot of history with each one. This aircraft literally sat in the fields for 58 years waiting to be rescued. Please enjoy the natural patina and blemishes that each one will share.

PlaneTags are made from actual retired aircraft fuselage, not merely stamped metal. Because PlaneTags are made from real fuselage, each PlaneTag bears the color, thickness, and wear and tear from the portion of the fuselage from which it was cut and it is therefore rare to create two identical PlaneTags. These variations and imperfections are not product flaws. They are part of the beauty of PlaneTags. As a result, you will not have an option to select the color of your PlaneTag. The images on this website are provided for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for choosing a particular PlaneTag. This limited Edition B-26 Marauder PlaneTag comes numbered and measures about 3”l x 2”w. Not recommended for children under 8 years of age. This product contains chemical-based paint which may cause respiratory irritation if ingested or inhaled in large quantities. Keep out of mouth.
