First flying after 2016, the Boeing 737 Max line is the fourth-generation offshoot of the successful 737 design.

First flying after 2016, the Boeing 737 Max line is the fourth-generation offshoot of the successful 737 design. Improvements were made to increase the efficiency, range, and performance to compete with designs such as the Airbus A320. Due to the troublesome launch of the MAX 8, the line has seen some setbacks in production or certification, but the brand is expecting these to be ironed out by the mid-2020s as deliveries commence.

The Max 8 version was the first to be created of the new line, intended to replace the 737-800 in active service. Compared to its predecessor, it has new split wingtips for increased efficiency and an extended fuselage, allowing for up to 210 passengers. Cruising speed is 521mph, with an official range of 4,000 miles and a service ceiling of 41,000 ft. The aircraft is propelled by two CFM Leap-1B engines, producing 29,000 lbs. of thrust each and allowing the aircraft to have a maximum takeoff weight of 182,200 lbs. All the airframe improvements add up to a 14% lower airframe maintenance cost and 20% fuel savings, while being 50% quieter in flight.

Chosen alongside the Max 10 as Air India Express’ aircraft of choice, the aircraft serves as one of their medium range options in the fleet. It features vibrant orange and blue highlights with intricate cultural jewels on the tail, with seating for up to 180 passengers onboard. Die-Cast replica has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and detailed landing gear for display. Measures 4”l with a 3.75” wingspan at 1:400 scale.

  • Features etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and accurate livery of VT-BXA in Air India Express service.
  • Pre-installed detailed landing gear, antennas and surface detailing have been carefully replicated to reflect the true airliner’s design
  • Measures 4”l with a 3.75” wingspan at 1:400 scale
  • Highly collectable and officially licensed.
